The exhibition that almost was

Over the past few months I have been busily creating numerous artworks in preparation for an exhibition at the Art Gallery on Darling in Sydney. The exhibition was to be happening the last week of July 2021 together with four other wonderful Sydney based artists - Daniela Cristallo, Alexandra Plim, Patrice Wills and Fleur Stevenson - with whom I previously exhibited works at Art Gallery on Darling in 2019. The theme of the exhibition was New Ground and aimed to 'respond to the land as a foundation for action and feeling, leading to work that continually explores fresh perspectives’. 

Unfortunately due to the current Covid restrictions our exhibition was not able to go ahead as planned this year (🙁). But the reality of the current situation in Australia and across the world is we need to keep thinking of more creative ways of getting things done! So this is what happened instead!

​Two bright shiny Artists Catalogues were created. One for works on canvas and one for works on paper. Full to the brim with all the works that were destined for the Sydney Exhibition.  The following artworks of mine were included:

​It was a big learning curve bringing it all together and I was so grateful to Alexandra, Daniela, Fleur and Patrice for sharing their wisdom and experience. And thank you to all the wonderful people that continue to support my art on its ever evolving journey!
